In the magical world of Edra...

The Legends of Grimous Ironblood is an epic illustrated children’s medieval fantasy verse storybook for 8 upwards recounting the legendary myths, tales and stories of healer and Arch-Mage Grimous Ironblood.

Grimous is a kind and wise, if a little grumpy, Arch-Mage who has found the cure to all ills. He travels the world of Edra bestowing his healing potions and magical amulets on people and races alike. He created flying iron-monkeys and huge fierce iron fire-beasts to aid him in his quest of healing.

Along his journeys his secret is stolen. He has a curious bottle that seems to contain a liquid that has the power to heal. A cut-purse and general all round low-life, Bracus McGint, seizes the bottle through magic of his own, unaware what deadly consequences he has unleashed…

Meanwhile Kölbran Agrôth, an honourable but selfish knight, known as the Sun Burst Knight and sworn brother of the Knights of Light, is battling a feisty scaledrake. Unfortunately he is losing and can see no way to defeat this evil creature. His blood-brother, Kranbür Agrôth, a man with less scruples but just as selfish, a neuromancer and magic-caster, fortunately saves Kölbran’s life, much to the annoyance to his brother.

Kölbran and Kranbür have been feuding for years. They have fallen in love with the same girl, beguiling and feisty Kindríth Swordsmyth, the daughter of the city’s finest blacksmith. Each has sworn to prove their love by besting the other in daring deeds. The hatred that has built up over the years has now reached boiling point. Kölbran has had enough of being the laughing stock as Kranbür consistently outshines him at every turn.

Down on his luck, deflated and defeated, he turns to his fellow knights for advice. The answer is simple: go on a quest! Knight Commander Waldemar Talonblack tells of a fabled treasure, known as the True-Love Treasure. In particular an intricate, delicate, beautiful, jewel encrusted gold rose made by the obsessed King Odo. And so begins Kölbran’s quest for the True-Love Rose and the hand and heart of Kindríth, his one true love. But Kranbür has other intentions…
