Reviews on Amazon
Being a fan of both fantasy and poetry this book appealed immediately and I was not disappointed. First of all I’d like to say that my book came a lot quicker than the indicated date here on Amazon and was well packaged and even had a hand written message from the author, K.R. Boyter himself.
The story is told through verse which is different to what’s available in today’s market but it is still a lot of fun. As a reader you can tell that a lot of work has gone into creating the rich medieval style settings and characters, even touching on a bit of steam punk too. The illustrations are a joy and are reminiscent of black and white line drawings but have their own unique stylisation.
Weaving plenty of story elements such as magic, love, the supernatural and even a bit of mystery there’s something for young and old alike. Give it a go; the ending will leave you wanting more.

Fantasy legend-based fiction for older children & adults set in a a faraway fictional land of magical creatures and extraordinary characters. Written fully in verse, the imagery and imaginative content are wonderfully rich & the book is full of atmosphere, very cleverly written. The illustrations, size and look of the book and the pages are all brilliantly designed. Draws you in right from the start - the rhythm of the text and precision of the language used make it an awesome read - would recommend to anyone as a gift for others or a literary treat for yourself! :)

This is an enjoyable book for both adults and children. The story is very enjoyable, as well as, the artwork. Can't wait for book 2.
A pure joy from first to last page.

This fantasy verse-written book is a true joy from start to finish. Very joyful and great fun from start to finish. You easily feel that K. R. Boyter really cares about his story; a lot of soul is put into this book. Great fun with some awesome illustrations. My warmest recommendations!
The book is unusually written but it's excellent

Got the book and met the author who was really nice. The book is unusually written but it's excellent. Can't put the book down. Thoroughly enjoying it. Hoping there will be another book out.
A fantastic fun story for all, told in verse with added illustrations!

This book is so great! I was really pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoyed settling down to read this and, having never heard of the book or author before accepting it, I am very glad I did!
This is a story which is very much an old fantasy minstrel's tale. The story is told entirely in verse and spans a couple of different characters who all have their own agendas and quests. Not only is the rhyme clever and witty, it's also interspersed with some truly hilarious and wonderful illustrations, taking strong influence from caricatures. All of this together combines into a wonderful adventure in a fantasy world that doesn't take itself or its characters too seriously. There's a fantastic map at front and back, and there are healers, feuding brothers, ancient curses, dwarves, magic, thieves, Kings, Queens and much, much more.
I would strongly recommend picking this book up because it will give you a lot of smiles and fun, it's also very readable for children and adults alike! I'd also say that reading this aloud is fantastic fun and I did that for much of the story. I am very glad there will be a book 2, and this is strongly recommended by me. 4.5*s overall :D #underhypedreads
